Corrupt State Table?
-
Ok I am stumped here. When looking at my "Show States" on my 2.0.2-RC3 box at home, this is what I get. This is a screenshot of the top portion, it goes on for several pages down of random junk. After a reboot it is still there, as well as after resetting the states. Going to try upgrading tonight, but what would cause this? Anyone seen it before? Also, far as I am aware IPV6 is turned off, have never used it before.

Looks like the kind of thing you'd see if your kernel and your world do not match. We've seen that happen in cases where there was RAID or a second disk and an old kernel booted off an old disk but then the OS drive was mounted using the new disk so it didn't match up.

I will have to double check, but I do not believe I have a second drive in this machine. Nor any Raid that was setup by myself, would pfsense setup any thing on install? Would anything else cause this? Do you think upgrading to 2.1 would solve the issue? Or do you think a wipe/reinstall is in my future.
Here's a df -h
$ df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Capacity Mounted on
/dev/ad0s1a 8.5G 397M 7.5G 5% /
devfs 1.0K 1.0K 0B 100% /dev
/dev/md0 3.6M 40K 3.3M 1% /var/run
devfs 1.0K 1.0K 0B 100% /var/dhcpd/dev -
pfSense wouldn't have setup RAID unless it was told to. That may not it, it just looks like what happens in that situation.
Probably safest to backup the config, and then wipe, install 2.1 and then restore the backup.
Check the output of "dmesg" and look in /dev/ for other disks maybe (da* and ad* especially) and check the BIOS disk boot order to be sure it isn't booting from something else.

I only show a 10gb hdd, cdrom drive. Guess wipe and reload it is.
