Feature request for radvd.conf / AICCU integration
-
I saw those neat new "Config File Override" options in the interface configuration for dhcp.
Which made me thinking that it would be really great to have this option for radvd. Alternatively just the option to configure the parameter AdvLinkMTU manually would be nice.
As I do not get native IPv6 I need to use a SixXS AICCU tunnel. The tunnel MTU is never 1500 so I have to lower the MTU of the whole WAN interface that gets the tunnel subnet delegated from my FritzBox. Otherwise bigger packets than those of the tunnel MTU (1472) do not make it through. I.e. my AnyConnect client reverts to IPv4 unless I lower the interface MTU.
Or maybe I am doing this wrong and someone can point me to the right configuration ;)It would also be great to have native AICCU support in pfsense 2.2. It seems one does not need the whole AICCU client if it's implemented like this:

I will take a look as time permits.
Though i can make radvd to advertise the WAN link mtu rather than have an option to identify the mtu and configure by GUI?

Thanks for looking into this!
In this setup taking the WAN MTU would not really help. As the tunnel is on a PPPoE line, the best IPv4 WAN MTU would be 1492 and the best IPv6 MTU would be 1472 on the same interface. Standard settings for SixXS tunnels is an MTU of 1280 if you do not tinker with those.
In any case the MTUs for IP4 and 6 differ, so it would be the great if one could set the radvd MTU as an option.
