      Good Evening
I have been searching through the foruns but I have not found  a particularly clear answer regardimg the subject.

What is the best null cable modem usb for modern computers to connect to an alix board that do not have a serial port?

      Would this work?

      http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0007T27H8/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?qid=1396257162&sr=8-5&pi=SL75

      Thank you.

That will work.  Don't forget, you need a female to female DB9 adapter as well.

…. and it may have to be a null modem f2f adapter, NOT a straight through db9 f2f.  I made this mistake with my APU1C and had to order another adapter.  Check other sources for the alix.

and if you want some actual cable length, I have bought these (using one now on an Alix 2D13 serial):

As the Greek philosopher Isosceles used to say, "There are 3 sides to every triangle."
If I helped you, then help someone else - buy someone a gift from the INF catalog http://secure.inf.org/gifts/usd/
