Could not contact pfSense update server http://updates.pfsense.org/_updaters/amd64

      Although http://updates.pfsense.org/_updaters/amd64/ is accessible
      Same issue on 3 pfsense 2.1 full (not embedded) server. Upgrades were working yesterday or so.

      Does anyone known what is going on ?

        It seems like the version file is missing on some mirror

        http://66.111.2.169/_updaters/amd64/version > ok
        http://208.123.73.82/_updaters/amd64/version > 2014-04-05 14:02:32 ERROR 404: Not Found.

          Hello,
          I confirm there's some kind of problem… I was diggin in the code, in the end I arrived to the
          /tmp/pfSense_version file.

          Its content is:

404 Not Found

          # 404 Not Found

          * * *

nginx/1.4.4

          Probably there's some mirror that is not aligned… :S

          Thanks,
          Michele

          ==========================
          Edit: If I resolve the host updates.pfsense.org from the firewall I get as address: 208.123.73.82, I hope this info to be useful...

            Update. If I set:

            http://66.111.2.169/_updaters/

            (one of the IPs resolved for the A-records updates.pfsense.org) as "Firmware Auto Update URL" it works… so, at 99% there is something wrong on the 208.123.73.82 mirror.

            Ciao,
            Michele
