URL table functionality, but with a local file
-
Hello,
Does anyone know how to import a local file (stored on a pfsense box) containing IPs into the aliases? I'm looking for a functionality similar to the URL table alias, which should check a local file instead of a URL for its timestamp, and if it's newer, then update the alias associated with it with the new list of IPs.Thanks.

For future reference:
You can trick the URL table alias to download a list of IPs by placing your list somewhere in /usr/local/www/, then pointing your URL table alias to https:/127.0.0.1:[port]/[filename]

That's exactly what I was going to suggest, just keep in mind that file will be available for download without authentication for anything that can reach your firewall on HTTPS (LAN-only by default). That's probably not a big deal in such cases.

Doesn't matter, since access to that is limited. What are they going to do? See what IPs I'm blocking ;D
Security through obsurity is perfect for this.
