Stuck installing pfSense-memstick-serial-2.1.3-RELEASE-amd64 on new Alix APU.1C4
-
Hi,
I just got one of them new APU.1C4 and downloaded pfSense-memstick-serial-2.1.3-RELEASE-amd64.img. DDed it onto a USB stick, boots fine. If I leave the boot process alone, it will start up with the NIC allocation assistant (do you want to set up VLANs now etc.). However, I want to install pfsense onto the internal mSATA ssd, so I press I to install when it comes up in the boot process.
I then get Launching Installer NCurses frontend… and that's about it. Could you tell me what I did wrong or point me to the right thread (couldn't find my problem solved) so I can install correctly? Thank you!
Complete serial console output:

You're doing the right procedure, and that's how I've installed to mine and it works OK.
Make sure your terminal program properly supports the methods the installer is using to draw the menu. PuTTY should work, as should most any *nix/MAC terminal. Hyperterminal may not.
