First installation
-
I am going to install pfSence on VirtualBox for the first time.
I have collected until now a few tutorials and manuals from Internet, but still have troubles to get in to pfSence GUI.
When I tiped 192.168.1.1 in my browser, the log on window of my modem opens instead pfSence GUI.
Supposingly I still do something wrong.
I would very appreciate a link to approved grafical tutorial with first installation pfSence on VirtualBox.

When I tiped 192.168.1.1 in my browser, the log on window of my modem opens instead pfSence GUI.
What could this stand for?
192.168.1.1 is occupied by your modem. I assume that is also your router and default gateway.Go into the pfSense VM console and assign another free IP to LAN interface. After, try to connect to this one.

I am running pfSence 2.1.5 with a TL-WN722N USB stick.
But there are no ath9k_htc.ko driver in /boot/kernel/.From where can I get the driver?
Do I also need the ath9k_common.ko and the ath9k_hw.ko?
How did you do the driver install to pfsense? Thanks!

ath9k is a Linux driver and pfSense is not Linux. The uath(4) driver is already in the kernel but doesn't support that chipset.
