Multiple PPPoE on one Ethernet port
-
Hi Everyone,
I searched through the forums but couldn't find any topic related to my issue.
I currently have a one-armed router having only one Ethernet port; also, I have 4 ADSL Modems and a HP Smart Switch (HP V1910 Switch). With this equipment, I am using VLANs to configure the network.
In the switch, 5 swithports have been assigned with different untagged memberships (10, 20, 30, 40, 50). 10 is reserved for the LAN, while 20 - 50 are used for the WANs, each port is connected to an ADSL Modem. One another port has a tagged membership with all the VLANs that is connected to the router.
Each modem has DHCP enabled therefore it assigns an IP to the router.
Everything is working great so far. However, I want to get rid of the double NAT by putting the Modems in Bridge Mode, and using PPPoE to obtain a public IP from the ISP.
The problem here is that for some reason I can't get more than one modem to authenticate.
If I disconnect one modem, another modem authenticates, but I can’t ever get more than one modem working.
Is this a limitation with PPPoE and VLANs?
Here are some screenshots of my configuration, currently I have only 2 modems connected.
