Embedded Install

I have an APU1C4 w/ 16GB SD.
If I use the full LiveCD iso, choose to install to my SD, delete swap partition, and choose the embedded kernel, is this the same as the nanobsd-vga image?
The reason I am thinking of doing this, is it will partition and format my entire 16GB SD.
Now the dashboard does not show it as a nanobsd system, which is what I would expect, but will the auto-upgrade system know I am using the embedded kernel?
Is there any reason not to do this instead of flashing the 4GB nanobsd-vga image?

It's not the same, you don't get some of the benefits of running Nano.
You can choose to move /tmp and /var to ramdrives in the advanced options which gets you the limited writes. (mounting -noatime also :-\ I'd have to check).
The upgrade process should know which kernel choice you made so you shouldn't have an issue there. Is there some reason you need more space than the 4G Nano image gives you?

Edit: typo

Not really, other than the feeling I am using the space I paid for :p. Guess I will be using the nanobsd image.
thanks.
