Can't install Python 2.1.4-Release and FreeBSD 8.3
-
I am trying to install pkg_add -r python27 py27-sqlite3 py27-pip per the instructions for installing QLProxy.
There is not a branch for FreeBSD 8.3 to fetch and install packages.
These are the only directories left:Name Size Date Modified
[parent directory]
packages-8-stable/ 2/11/14 10:02:00 PM
packages-8.4-release/ 5/9/13 12:00:00 AM
packages-9-stable/ 2/11/14 10:32:00 PM
packages-9.2-release/ 9/3/13 12:00:00 AMSo because of this I get this error: Error: Unable to get ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/amd64/packages-8.3-release/Latest/python27.tbz: File unavailable
So is there a way to update the package location to packages-8-stable or how do I install python27 and the other packages to get QLProxy to work.
Thanks,
Jim

Did you see this thread:
https://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=78935.msg431084#msg431084
"FreeBSD has moved them to ftp-archive since the release is no longer officially supported upstream."

I hadn't seen it. I guess I am only as good as the search terms I use. :(
Thanks for the link.Jim
