I have an Intel d2500cc motherboard with an atom processor. The systems has been using an old HDD since it was first build (3 years ago). Due to the several indications I don't trust that HDD any more.

So, I want to install the pfSense to a USB 3.0 stick instead of an HDD. However, the motherboard only supports USB 2.0.

I find the following mini-pcie to USB3.0 adapter but I'm not sure if it works, since it wouldn't be a native driver.

Does anyone have any idea about this?

Thanks
