Error:"The installer could not find any disks suitable for further installation"
-
When I launch the installer, I can see the screen like with message
The installer could not find any disks suitable for further installation (IDE or SCSI) attached to this computer. If you wish to install pfSense on an unorthodox storage device, you will have to exit to a LiveCD command prompt and install it manually, using the file /README as a guide.
I was not able to find this README file. Does anybody happen to know where it could be?

It means what it says - No drives could be found. That could mean that the disk isn't detected OR that the drive controller to which the drive is connected was not detected.
If your BIOS has an option for changing the SATA mode to a Legacy type setting as opposed to AHCI, try that.
Or try a 2.2 snapshot.

Thanks for the reply.
Actually my goal was to use iSCSI disk. That's why I'm interested in README file.

Not sure what it's referencing, probably something that no longer exists.
If you let the OS boot to the menu, you can go to the shell and then load any kernel modules or run other commands needed to make a disk appear.

I'll give it a try. Thanks!
