SNMP across interfaces/subnets?
-
Hey guys - I have an Observium VM that is on my LAN interface (192.168.50.0/24) and I can add SNMP devices into it on that subnet. I have a "DMZ" that is on 192.168.200.0/24 and can ping the boxes from the Observium VM but cannot do an SNMP query. The permissions are fine, if I put the Observium VM on the DMZ interface then I can query. I have the following on my LAN interface:
IPv4 * * * * * * none
And the following on my DMZ interface:
IPv4 * * * * * * none
What gives here?
Thanks in advance!

Is the firewall the default gateway for both segments?
Is anything multi-homed between those segments?

I have observium running on my lan interface and query stuff on other segments just fine.
How is it a dmz if you allow it any any access? ;)
What error do you get in observium when you go to setup the device?
