<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><rss xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:content="http://purl.org/rss/1.0/modules/content/" xmlns:atom="http://www.w3.org/2005/Atom" version="2.0"><channel><title><![CDATA[Fresh re-install of 2.1.5, then upgrade to 2.2.2 but Freebsd ver is 8.3-Release?]]></title><description><![CDATA[<p dir="auto">Hi there, i have 2 pfsense firewalls at different locations, they're awesome, but i recently had an HDD failure in one of the pfsense boxes, i replaced the drive, and took the same/original usb install drive i used to install it the first time in both machines (containing pfsense ver 2.1.5 i386). I swapped the hdd, installed pfsense without issue.</p>
<p dir="auto">booted it up, reloaded my config, and upgraded it to 2.2.2 (using the automatic upgrade feature), but it didnt seem to upgrade the freebsd version from 8.3 to 10.1?</p>
<p dir="auto">Currently one firewall has</p>
<p dir="auto">2.2.2-RELEASE (i386)<br />
built on Mon Apr 13 20:10:33 CDT 2015<br />
FreeBSD wilson.localdomain 10.1-RELEASE-p9 <strong>FreeBSD 10.1-RELEASE-p9</strong> #0 57b23e7(releng/10.1)-dirty: Mon Apr 13 20:33:39 CDT 2015 root@pfs22-i386-builder:/usr/obj.i386/usr/pfSensesrc/src/sys/pfSense_SMP.10 i386</p>
<p dir="auto">and the other has..</p>
<p dir="auto">2.2.2-RELEASE (i386)<br />
built on Mon Apr 13 20:10:33 CDT 2015<br />
FreeBSD tucana.localdomain 8.3-RELEASE-p16 <strong>FreeBSD 8.3-RELEASE-p16</strong> #0: Mon Aug 25 08:25:41 EDT 2014 root@pf2_1_1_i386.pfsense.org:/usr/obj.i386/usr/pfSensesrc/src/sys/pfSense_SMP.8 i386</p>
<p dir="auto">the only difference being, that the one that has Freebsd v10.1 on it, was upgraded from 2.1.5 -&gt; 2.2 -&gt; 2.2.1 -&gt; 2.2.2</p>
<p dir="auto">Where as the one stuck on 8.3 was upgraded from 2.1.5 -&gt; 2.2.2.</p>
<p dir="auto">i'm getting weird ipsec vpn disconnects, and i am not able to install pfblockerng on the pfsense box that is stuck on freebsd ver 8.3.</p>
<p dir="auto">How can i upgrade the freebsd version from 8.3 to 10.1?</p>
