Jetway JBC373F38W-525 for 10 users
-
Hi there.
I have an office with about 10 users. They've got a cable Internet connection with 110Mbps down and 20Mbps up. Most of their usage is really simple - basic web browsing, email, etc. The only somewhat unusual thing is that their (very old) VOIP phones connect to an off-site PBX over an IPSec VPN.
We use the hardware linked below with a hard drive and 2GB of RAM to build Untangle NG boxes for small offices all the time. We're looking to use pfSense more and this is a good opportunity. Given the needs below, will this Jetway do the trick?

If not, what's the minimum specs you'd recommend?
Thank you!

The similar spec'ed G03-NF99-F Jetway board I've got personal experience with, handles about 550-600Mbit/sec and 60Mbit/sec OpenVPN encrypted with AES-256-CBC so my guess would be that you should be fine with it.

Thank you. That's what I was hoping to hear.
I'm hoping to migrate them to another phone system in the coming weeks, so they shouldn't need the VPN connection for long.

If you want to use ipsec, look in the other threads first, because it seems to be broken in v2.2.3.

AES-NI module is broken, not IPsec itself. If you disable AES-NI you can use AES in P2. Or you can switch to AES-GCM without disabling AES-NI module. Will be fixed in 2.2.4 though.
