No Internet No Nat No WAN HELP!!!!!
-
so yesterday I tried going on my laptop and seen that there is no internet connection so i started going through the usual diagnostics checking if i can ping googles dns my wisps router and my own router but all pings failed except all local ips including pfsense.then i sshed into pfsense and tried pinging wisps router and googles dns and they were successfull. I even hooked up my wisps cat6 directly to my switch and then the internet worked. i was puzzled but i knew the problem had to be at the pfsense end. I check all my settings they were all correct. but the firewall log was empty and along with states they were empty aswell it was never like this before. please help me i cant go back to anything but pfsense

fixed my problem after i ran pfctl -f /tmp/rules.debug in a terminal and read the debug output. I had a alias get a list of usa IP address and the website it came from doesnt exist anymore its just some advertisement page now but pfsense was grabbing some of the pages html code for the alias and it was causing my rules not to load fixed the alias and everything started working again. very relieved

You can use the package pfBlockerNG for that.
