I was trying to install pfSense 2.2.4 onto a SuperMicro server (board is X8DTU-F, so Intel 5520 chipset). Kept getting stuck booting and dumping out to mountroot>

I stopped by the IRC channel for some guidance. A kind person there pointed me to the kern.cam.boot_delay parameter. I set this to 10000 at boot time, and it was able to boot just fine. Installed fine too.

Just in case anyone was wondering or ever experienced it before.
