Unstable connection

Hi
I am currently struggling with my ISP, as they keep saying that my equipment is not working properly.
I have looked in the DHCP-logs of my pfsense router/firewall and this shows that the wan-interface(re0) keeps shutting down.
The only thing I cannot see from the output is if the interface is reported as down due to a missing IP-address or if the electronic link is down, due to one of the peers rebooting or having issues with the interface.
Here is a snippet of the logfile:Jan 26 20:20:01 dhclient[5393]: re0 link state up -> down Jan 26 20:19:56 dhclient[5393]: DHCPREQUEST on re0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 Jan 26 20:19:54 dhclient[5393]: DHCPDISCOVER on re0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 interval 10 Jan 26 20:19:50 dhclient[5393]: DHCPREQUEST on re0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 Jan 26 20:19:50 dhclient[5393]: DHCPDISCOVER on re0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 interval 4 Jan 26 20:19:48 dhclient[5393]: DHCPREQUEST on re0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 Jan 26 20:19:48 dhclient[5393]: DHCPDISCOVER on re0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 interval 2 Jan 26 20:19:46 dhclient[5393]: DHCPREQUEST on re0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 Jan 26 20:19:46 dhclient[5393]: re0 link state down -> up Jan 26 20:19:46 dhclient[5393]: DHCPDISCOVER on re0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 interval 2 Jan 26 20:19:45 dhclient[5393]: DHCPDISCOVER on re0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 interval 1 Jan 26 20:19:42 dhclient[5393]: re0 link state up -> down Jan 26 20:19:37 dhclient[5393]: DHCPDISCOVER on re0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 interval 19 Jan 26 20:19:34 dhclient[5393]: DHCPREQUEST on re0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 Jan 26 20:19:33 dhclient[5393]: DHCPDISCOVER on re0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 interval 4 Jan 26 20:19:32 dhclient[5393]: DHCPREQUEST on re0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 Jan 26 20:19:31 dhclient[5393]: DHCPREQUEST on re0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 Jan 26 20:19:31 dhclient[5393]: re0 link state down -> up
From the above, would you suggest the issue being with my pfsense box or with the ISP modem?

Still could be either device - realtek isn't my favourite NIC. Link is being detected as dropped - you need to figure out which side dropped the link. Try connecting different devices and see if the link is still flapping.
