Looking for some advice about routing
-
Hi,
I am new to PFSense and was hoping to get some advice on how to configure my PFSense installation.
I have a modem that seems to drop machines off the network if there are more than 30 mac addresses on the network. With a home virtualized lab with two hosts. I am already breaking that.
So I thought I might try out PFSense…I have two subnets 192.168.1.x and 10.1.1.1.I used the basic configuration and i can see that i have my devices in the 10.1.1.x range can see and connect to my 192.168.1.x devices but not the other way around. I suppose its because of NAT?
I am wondering how can both subnets see each other and what would I need to do to configure that?
NB my PFSense installation is virtualized.
Many thanks. -
Maybe. Also look at your WAN interface and make sure the check boxes at the bottom are not checked.

Look at the rules that are automatically generated on LAN. Duplicate them on OPT1 (Changing all instances of LAN to OPT1 of course).
The installer creates a rule for you on LAN but when you add another local interface you have to create the rule yourself.
NAT should be taken care of automatically.
