Hi everyone,
This will be my first pfSense build after some FreeNAS.
My usage will be OpenVPN, some port forwarding for servers (Zimbra), Torrents and Gaming.
What do you think of this ? Is it fully supported ? :

Can I just use the 2 x RJ45 GLAN by Intel

Good lord that is a lot of CPU for a router. How fast of a connection do you have?
The 2 on board NIC's will be fine for basic LAN/WAN setup.

Depends on how fast your connection is and how many packages you plan on running.

Squid & SquidGuard & Snort & HAVP & pfBlockerNG may like a fully UTM device and if something
of the throughput should be coming out on the LAN side it is not really to powerful. It is likes a
intel Core i3, i5 or i7 but with more power savings. -
@Jailer : I have a 100 Mb/s cable connection. But should be upgraded to fiber soon.
Will a Supermicro A1SAi-2550F be more appropriate ?

What packets do you want to install?
What services do you want to run?
How many users or devices must be sorted?
Is WiFi a point to talk about?
Is VPN in usage?Will a Supermicro A1SAi-2550F be more appropriate ?
Pointed to pfSense I would more go with a C2x58 (rangeley) then an Avaton platform.
AES-NI and Intel QuickAssist would be the way to go. Take the C2558 rangeley and 8 GB of RAM.
