You need a PCIe x4 or greater slot so you'll have to put it in 11 or 14.

Ordered the above.

According to Intel card length is 5.1 inches. Just right for slot number 12. But will it work for slot 11 and 14 as well?

but the computer I am using to build my new pfsense box is a
Dell OptiPlex 790 core i5 sandy-bridge mini tower. The distance from number 12 as seen on the screen grab from Dell PDF to heat-sink is just over 5 inches. So which card should I buy? Can I use any of the above cards in slots 11, 12 or 14 as well?
