Stabilizing the dropdown menus
-
Good Evening.
New install of pfsense 2.0.1-RELEASE (amd64) in a vmware box. I'm accessing the web configuration from two separate physical machine, one running WXP and IE8, the other using Scientific Linux 6 and Firefox.
In the WXP/IE6 box, the webconfigurator never completes rendering…surprise, surprise, moving on.
In the SL6/Firefox box, the webconfiguration renders, so working with that.
The red menubar is two lines:
System Interfaces Firewall Services VPN
Status Diagnostics HelpIt is impossible to select anything in the System, Interfaces, or Firewall dropdowns, because the moment you move the mouse, System, Interfaces, or Firewall disappears and the Status, Diagnostics, or Help dropdowns drop down instead.
This occurs whether I use click-hold-move, or click-select-release-move, or even trying to move 'around' the Status, Diagnostics, or Help line.
Frustrating to say the least. I can't believe it was actually designed this way. What am I missing?
thanks.

IE 6 isn't supported, no one should be using it for a long, long time now. Newer IE versions, make sure you're not in compatibility mode and they're fine.
Every Firefox version works fine. You're using a non-default font size/zoom size to get two rows, you can break it by doing that.
