Small virtual training events would be nice for advanced setup or training on diagnostics with pfSense.  Groups of 5-10 users so questions would not be overwhelming. Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced with some type of questionaire to determine skill level.  Very annoying to be in a class with someone who asks too many questions.  Another possibility is to limit people to a reasonable amount of questions.

I would be interested. I would also have to be virtual.

With a virtual lab.  VMs would be non persistent (reset at power off).  CARP/VPN/NAT/etc.  Downloadable

We'll likely be doing BSDCan 2009, if our tutorial is accepted (should be, as we've been accepted for the past 3 years).

EuroBSDCon 2009 is a possibility also. Due to cost, less likely, but we hope to be able to make it.

We had hoped to make it to NYCBSDCon 2008, but that didn't work out. We'll almost certainly make NYCBSDCon 2009, but the chances of a longer tutorial session there are slim (they don't have long sessions like BSDCan and EuroBSDCon).

We may do an online session sometime in 2009, similar to what we'll be doing at the Cons and did this past year at BSDCan. That remains to be determined.

Nothing planned right now, but we'll likely do something online sometime in 2009.

As there are plenty of people proficient in the different features of pfSense one might also be able to create a bounty of sorts for training.  You could create a bounty for training on carp and state for example…..

4-8 people at $25 per person for training on Carp with load balancing or training with traffic shaping.

Those interested could then post if they are also interested.

There is also freeconference.com for free conference calling and I have plenty of links for free webex type services including one from Microsoft.
