All traffic from LAN to OpenVPN client
-
Hi!
I'm trying to figure out how to force all traffic on the LAN interface through an OpenVPN client to the internet.
Computer 1, Computer 2, Computer 3 -> LAN -> OpenVPN -> Internet
How do I configure such a setup? The pfSense machine has two network interfaces, LAN and WAN.
Thanks so much in advance!

assign an interface to the openvpn instance.
it should then automagically create a gateway for it. (if not, create a gw yourself)
use policy routing to force lan through the new gateway

I have tried this, but it doesn't seem to work. I can route all traffic from LAN -> WAN by changing a LAN firewall rule to use the WANGW gateway, but when I change it to use the OpenVPN gateway it doesn't work.
Any idea how come? Also, what settings should I use on the client computers? Assign them an IP on the same subnet and use the LAN interface IP as gateway?
