Site to site different ping performance depending on source

Before I try and troubleshoot this issue. Is it normal to have worse performance pinging from a server to a client vs client to server?

I'm getting 60 to 100ms more time when pinging from server out. I have two openvpn tunnels, LTE client to fiber server. Both tunnels exhibit the same issue. The tunnels are working.
