I have gotten my roadwarrior WireGuard client up and running after following the excellent setup tutorial from episode 10 of the project report. That was fantastic with clear instructions on getting WireGuard set up and running.

Now, I would like to know if it will be possible for my remote client to see my UPnP media servers in my home network. Currently, the remote client cannot discover the media servers. I am assuming this is because the discovery process uses local addressing? If that is correct, is there any way for this media server traffic to reach the remote client?

Having access to my home media servers while on the road is one of the main desires for my VPN connectivity.

Can this be done through the VPN?

@mipucket So after researching this more it appears that SSDP won't work because multicast isn't supported in WireGuard? There seems to be a bug report generated for this 11 months ago.

Is this correct? Has anyone been able to get UPnP working for a WireGuard client?
