Posting with Safari doesn't work

Maybe I'm wrong, but it appears to me that posting with Safari doesn't work:

(also a similar error when attaching an image)

System specs:

• MacOS Monterey 12.3 (21E230)
• Safari Version 15.4 (17613.1.17.1.6)
  • (no extensions; all default settings)
  • Prevent cross-site tracking (default setting)
  • Hide IP address from trackers (default setting)

Eventually I gave up and used Chrome. If this is by design, then maybe the error can prompt us to use another browser?
