PFsense Captive Portal on AWS

I am new to PFsense and I understand that PFsense is now available on AWS. Sorry, if this is a Noob question.

I am trying to configure captive portal in Pfsense. Usually, the Pfsense is physically connected directly to the network as a router and switch which distributes the internet through all devices connected is connected to it.

My question is:

Is there a way to host the PFsense with the captive portal on AWS and manage the network through it? Or can you show me an alternative for doing this with the AWS?

I want to host the PFsense on AWS instead of having an additional physical server on the network.

Please advise.

Yes there is, but this would probably involve forcing all traffic through AWS.

Since AWS's charging scheme is partly on network traffic, this may become a costly experience quickly.

I am trying to mimic the captive portal of Mikrotik router. Unfortunately, I am having a hard time figuring out how to do it on Cisco devices. That's is why I am thinking of using Pfsense.

We are managing multiple networks, and it is not good to install Pfsense on each network because it 's hard to troubleshoot it when there is an issue with it. That's why I think it is better to host the Pfsense captive portal on AWS and let them connect to it, so we can easily access it and manage them properly.

I have read about pfSense Security Gateway Appliance which is available on Pfsense store. Do you think this is better than having a PFsense on AWS?
