pfsense update branch was set to latest Stable 2.6

in package manager, Wireguard showed up to have version 1.6.1 available to update too...

Doh.. yep I pressed update and no 1.6.1 isnt compatible with 2.5 kernel. (You would have thought a compatibility check would have been done first)

Is there a method to manually uninstall and reinstall the version 1.5 (the GUI hangs at please wait while the update system initializes trying to uninstall 1.6)

@timboau-0 you can try rebooting then try again. Might end up needing to reinstall though. The issue is what else it updated.

Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to reboot, or more depending on packages, and device or disk speed.
