How to route a wifi interface through OpenVPN?
-
Greetings all!
I have a question regarding tunnelling wifi connections through OpenVPN in pfSense 2.6.0. My wanted setup is: Wifi-client -> Wifi-AP -> OpenVPN-Client -> WAN-Interface -> VPN-Server
I've followed the guides:
pfSense-2-5-Setup-with-NordVPN at nordvpn
pfsense-with-expressvpn-openvpn at expressvpnThese describe in various clarity how to set things up for LAN and I thought I could just replace the LAN interface occurences in the guides with the wifi interface/network. No luck however. I only get halfway there. The OpenVPN client connects OK, however I get no routing and when the interface is up LAN gets b0rked =P
What are the general steps to consider here when the client is setup and connects? How do I in general steps route wifi - interface OPT2 through interface VPN1 which in turn is routed through WAN?
Any hints greatly appreciated! If you need additional information from me, just let me know!
Have a nice day all of you!

Generally it should work this way as described.
Consider that in the outbound NAT rule you have also to replace the source with your wifi network.
If it doesn't work, post more details of your setup.
