I am new to digging deeper into PFs and leveraging its capabilities and am looking for comprehensive guide to administering the system and the PFb package. There are a number of published books for PFsense and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on the best publication to manage my instance? I am not averse to online resources but havent found one that seems to fit, if there are any resources that cover PFs and PFb from an admin level those would be welcomed. Thank you.

@rico Wow thanks for that. I searched and never came across this looks like it covers it all. I did a quick look at the doc and didnt see anything on PFblockerNG, would you know of an equally good resource for that as well? Thanks again.👍

Your pfSense provide a link in the webGUIs Help menu:

@lpd7 The online version of the book is at https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/. However the pfBlockerNG page is pretty sparse compared to what the current -devel version can do. There is a subform for it with several pinned posts that may help.

Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.

@steveits I will check out the subforum and see what they may have. I watched a video which was informative but not comprehensive but a good way to get started so I will give that some attention as well. Thank you.
