pfsense cuts the whole network for a few seconds

Hello to all the community. I don't remember having had the following problem before.
I have two 7100 in HA, on the Fiber port, I have several vlan interfaces.
When I modify something on a vlan interface (example the mask) pfsense cuts the whole network for a few seconds.
Normally, it should cut the network only on the interface where I work, right?
