22.05 has now progressed to the release candidate (RC) stage and is rapidly nearing release!

To upgrade in place from a previous release of pfSense Plus software, pick the
      "Next Stable Version" update branch.

Upgrading in place from BETA builds requires a couple more steps to pick up the
      new branch safely:

      • Navigate to System > Update
      • Select the Latest Stable Version branch
      • Allow the update check to complete
      • Refresh the page (F5 or click "System Update" tab or link in breadcrumb bar)
      • Select the Next Stable Version branch
      • Allow the update check to complete
      • Refresh the page (F5 or click "System Update" tab or link in breadcrumb bar)
      • Wait for the update check to complete and it should offer the 22.05 RC build
      • Click Confirm

For more information on what is in 22.05, see our recent blog post from the BETA announcement: https://www.netgate.com/blog/pfsense-plus-software-beta-version-22.05-now-available-for-testing

@jonathanlee Release candidate โ‰  Release. This is a candidate for the final release pending additional testing by the user base, Netgate, and others.

As Jim P noted above if you find anything to report please do so into the Plus 22.05 Development Snapshots category.

@rcoleman-netgate Thanks for all you do. My family and wife said I can no longer use the development mode software because, "I take over the internet to long and to often" So I am stuck using the normal software for a while, but it works great so its ok. I did a lot of trial and error testing with this 22.05 version before my family requests.

I just updated home network from 22.01 to 22.05, no issues with the upgrade process. Up about 45 minutes and all good so far ๐Ÿ‘
