Only IPV6 for WAN
-
A new iSP offers me only a static IP of IPV6 type and no IPV4, not even dynamic.
So far I have always used only IPV4, both WAN and LAN.
Will having IPV6 cause me problems with OpenVPN or DNS to internal websites?
Could the pfSense configuration be problematic?
Thanks in advance. -
You shouldn't have problems with pfSense or OpenVPN. My OpenVPN supports both IPv4 and IPv6. However, I'm surprised they're not even providing CGNAT for IPv4.

@darkcorner So curious how they are going to convert your traffic to IPv4.. Huge part of the internet is not yet IPv6.
So what IPv4 are you going to get when you talk to something that doesn't have IPv6.. Say amazon.com for example ;)
Mobile devices like phones do it with 464XLAT
So are they going to assign you a prefix to use for your internal networks like a /56 or /48?

Hard to believe. Which ISP and where? It is probably CG-NAT or DS Lite, which doesn't make you statement wrong but it is an important detail you can not left out.
