      Hi!
in order to solve a branch office printing problem (wireless portable printer must reside in the printer subnet and given same ip address) I needed to establish a TAP tunnel between headquarter and branch offices, so I set up OpenVPN TAP, bridges and all the stuff needed. Everything is working as expected, except for the auto reconnect from branch office pfSense, when the tunnel is updated server side or the service is restarted.

On the client side, OpenVPN status is reporting "unable to connect to daemon, is service running?". Manually restarting service brings up the tunnel.

Both on server and client side keep alive is set to 0.

The issue seems related only to TAP tunnels, I have 4 other TUN tunnels (both shared key and user auth) which are working fine.

      Running CE-2.5.2.

Any advice on how to solve it?
