Good morning, i'm a network administrator and here in the company i work we block adult sites and Facebook.
But with the addition of the Opera VPN, some user are accessing Facebook with it, is there an way to block the VPN connection?
Thanks in advance. -
Not easily. You could start by blocking all ports except those you use. Name 25, 80, 110
Email and web. You make have to add or modify for the services you need.

Ok, thank you very much brian, going to start working on it :).

The ports I mentioned are SMTP, WEB, and POP3. You should probably also do 53 for DNS. If you use IMAP or any secure browsing then you have to consider that as well.

The thing is, like many VPNs these days, they often run over port 443, which also happens to be the port for SSL. You might do some research and see if maybe there are specific hosts on Opera's end that can be blocked to prevent the VPN connection from being made. Create an alias list of the hostnames, then create a firewall rule blocking communication with that alias list.
