States Shutting down WAN over 10k
-
Hi,
I have pfsense(2.3.2-p1) for quite some time now, and i just love it, but .
It´s running in:
Dell R710 with Vmware > The VM is using the following: 4vCPU and 2048ram
We have 3 wan(2diferents ISP and 3 differents tecnologys) links and 6 LANS
Behind one of those lan we have another pfsense. The maximum number of clients connected in our network never surpasses 300 clients, but every time the number of states go over 10k stranges things happens.
At randon times links starts to packetloss, and even go offline
I set checksum offloading disable and it helped a little, but still when it goes over 10k starts to crash the links
Could anyone give me any directions?Thx in advance!

What are you max states set to?
-
Are you overloading any of your WAN links (either in bandwidth or packets per second)?

What are you max states set to?
States are set to 200100
But every time it goes over ~10k those things happenMy Wan´s are not overloading, i get less than 20% load on them of badwidth, in packets i get top at 15,4kpps; 6,9kpps; 7,4kpps; on WAN1, WAN2 and WAN3, respectively i don´t know if that is too big or normal

What type of WAN do you have there?
I recall talking to a customer a few years back and their cable modem crapped out with around that many connections going through it
