      Is there a forecast for the 2.4 ter version for i386? How are you getting the hardware for that version?

        There will not be any pfSense 2.4 for i386. Only amd64 and the ARM chip in the upcoming SG-1000.

            I made a sticky just now about i386 and NanoBSD not being supported on 2.4.

              Is there a way to build 2.4.x for i386? I have a pair of Nokia IP390's that still do a decent job at being a router, despite them only having a Celeron-M 1.5GHz processor.

                  @Simba7:

                  Is there a way to build 2.4.x for i386?

                  Nothing wrong with using 2.3.2 or 2.3.3 i386 on your IP390s unless you actually need something introduced with a future 2.4 release.

                  IIRC there'll be at least security fixes for the last i368 version available after a 2.4 release.
                  jimp, please correct me if memory doesn't serve me right!

                    You are correct, we are going to continue with security/errata updates for 2.3.x for a while after 2.4 is released.
