How to limit or block torrent with snort

Hi,

every one, i am looking for a solution i have ha DSL (PPPOE) connection from my PfSense
my clients –>LAN -->WAN(DHCP & PPPOE ) --> Internet

I was using L7 filters ans successfully able to block torrent traffic

In pfsense is there any solutions for this ?? i heare about snort can do that but how
