widget counters not clearing
-
I had the setting to clear widget counters daily but noticed that they weren't. I installed the cron package to check and the 2 entries to clear the counters weren't there.
I applied the setting again and the 2 cron jobs were added:
The next day/today I checked and the counters again weren't cleared. The 2 cron jobs disappeared again.
Readded them again (!) and run the 2 commands from the cli clearing the counters.Something is fishy here with the cron jobs (only those 2) disappering.....
-
@manilx After approx 30mins I checked and the 2 cron entries have again disappeared!
-
-
@manilx Spoke to soon: The cron entries also disappear after I set it to clear weekly (bu stayed longer there).
So in a nutshell: feature is broken as the cron jobs are somehow deleted......

@manilx Can anyone confirm or not confirm this? Wonder if I'm the only one using this.

@fireodo Not my issue.

@fireodo Perhaps....
Wonder why developer is not responding lately. Hope he's OK. -

I think he is aware of the problematic but maybe he has more important things to do - this is annoying but not something that impacts the main functionality of pfBlockerNG - IMHO
@BBcan177 and also annoying is that autosort in DNSBL is not working
PS. You should mention on what pfsense version it occures. -
@fireodo pfsense Plus 22.05
-
@BBcan177 Installed 23.01 on my 8200, rfemoved -devel and installed release pfblockerng.
This issues still happens. I add daily to both the clear counter fields in the widget, check that 2 cron entries are added. And after a minute or so they are again gone.

@manilx Issue is fixed in pfblockerng 3.2.0_3
-
I am experiencing this same issue even on 23.05+ and the latest release of pfBlockerNG 3.2.0_5. When the widget is enabled to clear the daily counters, the blocks get cleared, but not the queries which skews the percentages. Even if I clear them manually from the widget, sometimes I have to do it multiple times to get the actual query count to clear. To be fair, this has always been an issue since I started using pfSense about 9 months ago (22.05+, 23.01+, and now 23.05+).
I reported this before, but no one ever responded. Not the end of the world. The one feature I miss having from Pi-hole is the default view of the last 24 hours of activity on the main screen.
