Our clamd service stops working

Hello all. We are on squid version (0.4.45_9). We have an issue where our clamd service stops working. The issue happens randomly, though. We will start it up and the service runs (no errors). But at the next check, 20 or so hours later, it may stop, and we re-run. Is this a known issue?

@jlee_eye I have the same issue, mine relates to memory usage, I set mine to only scan web and it worked. This is under antivirus settings on squid proxy.

@JonathanLee Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, this did not work for me. Same issue. At the next check, clamd stops, and it has to be started manually again. Any other ideas to try?

Are you using SSL intercept or splice? -
Have you tried to play around with the custom options and get one that works well yet? This was the one that consumes less memory and works better for me.
