Installing pfSense on Openstack
-
Hello, I installed pfsense on openstack. There are 2 VMs, 1 pfSense VM and 1 linux VM.
- The pfsense VM has 2 NICs, namely 1 NIC with Public IP and 1 Private IP NIC.
- 1 Linux VM uses 1 NIC with the same segment as the Private IP in the pfsense VM, linux VM gateway = private IP vm pfsense
- pfsense can be installed, can be connected to the internet and the web GUI can be opened.
- But the Linux VM cannot connect to the internet, but can ping the IP gateway (ip private pfsense)
Previously the VM was in VMware and running fine, but when migrating to openstack VM linux couldn't connect to the internet.
Do I need to add additional rules? Because at the time in VMware there were no additional rules on the pfSense side
Thank You.

@anita-0 by default pfSense LAN has rules to allow all IPv4 and 6 traffic.
How/from where are you connecting to the web GUI?
Can pfSense ping out from its Diagnostic menu?
