    Hi,

When I download large files, for instance a steam game. Sometimes my pfSense stops responding and has high CPU usage 40-50% within Hyper-V.

To get it back to normal I have to go into control panel and disable/enable a network adapter.
    Then it comes straight back.

What settings in pfSense can I enable to try and log this issue to find what the problem might be.

    Thanks

      @gazaai

It seems for me that there is something running full!?
Or are there other packets installed such squid & clamav?

@dobby_ I think I might have narrowed it down to an issue with the Intel I226-V ethernet controllers my mini PC has. Ended up disabling the offloading options within the driver settings-

        • IPv4 Checksum Offload
        • Large Send Offload V2 (IPv4)
        • Large Send Offload V2 (IPv6)
        • TCP Checksum Offload (IPv4)
        • TCP Checksum Offload (IPv6)
        • UDP Checksum Offload (IPv4)
        • UDP Checksum Offload (IPv6)

The issue hasn't came back yet, so hopefully that might be it fixed.

        found the potential fix here

        Thanks,
        Gary
