WAN Connection in Virtualized pfsense on Proxmox
-
Hi, I am newb and stuck on something very basic. I have Proxmox up and running and pfsense installed virtually.
Currently my connection are as follows
WAN(via ISP modem)--->ASUS Router---->16 port unmanaged switch--->to various devices and access points including unRaid Server and ProxMox machine(4 port 2.5G device using intel I225 RevC)I installed 2.7 pfSense on Proxmox and configured the two ports, WAN on vrmb0(the LAN connection to proxmox box) and other adjacent NIC port as LAN, I have the install just fine and I can browse to my local pfsense IP.
Now I want to have it production ready and remove ASUS router from the chain and have pfsense do all the routing in my setup, which port do I connect the wire off from my ISP modem to Proxmox box? Will it be even possible or do I need to have a standalone device running pfSense instead of virtualized platform?
Again, sorry for the newb question, I am just stuck and cant figure it out..

@sams3595
Connect the WAN to the ISP router.
Assign Proxmox an IP on the LAN side and remove that one from WAN. -

Thank you, I will try.
