Hello, I would like to know how to allow access only to chat and navigation applications without the videos working, only chat in whatsapp, messenger, etc...
And block youtube and streaming pages (netflix, hbo...)

@andoniar78 said in How to allow only messages and browsing:

navigation applications .... whatsapp, messenger ...

All you have to do is looking up what ports these applications use.
Navigation applications, I would call them navigators, are bound to destination port 80 (I hope your not using that one) and port 443. Protocol for both is TCP.

Whatsapp : isn't that a facebook thing ? Should be documented.
Messenger : dono - but info should be available.

...youtube and streaming pages (netflix, hbo...)
If these use ports 80 and 443 (TCP), then you have a conflict.
Luckily, blocking 'youtube' is a known subject, you could already found some solutions on this forum. Youtube == Google, and they use thousands of IP addresses. No one has "full list". Blocking "youtube" means that you can also say bye bye to Google and all related services.
Netflix : HBO : easier, a list should be available.

Btw : look what pfBlockerng can do for you.

No "help me" PM's please. Use the forum, the community will thank you.
Edit : and where are the logs ??
