Indeed, not only the theme but the initial page too, they changed the layout there.
It seems that the fonts are smaller. -

I tried other themes - been using the site more from my phone as of late because of having to go into the office vs just wfh, so maybe I was using a different skin.. But I have tried all the ones I would of possible have chosen... I am like 99.9% sure I was using slate before, or darkly - and colors have for sure changed from what they were before..
Not the end of world or anything ;) hehehe but I thought I was going nuts.. I can always tweak it to my liking if need be..
The quoted text for sure is different, and the top menu color - and the now HUGE thumbs up icon ;) Font color and size if changed not as noticeable..

I am not often in the web developer - especially on this site, but am seeing this error.."Uncaught (in promise) TypeError: config.theme is undefined"
Wonder if that is causing me to see differences from the theme before? Maybe that has always been there? I don't normally have need to look at web developer on this site so not sure if that error was there before?

@johnpoz if you were a regular visitor ;) you’d have seen the brief “bad gateway” error last night which was presumably the upgrade window. Looks a bit different in various places in a mobile browser, overall no issues, but I don’t use a dark theme. What theme are you set to? It wouldn’t be inconceivable a programmer missed a CSS entry in a theme they don’t use.

Yeah I don't get here as much as once did hehee.. New gig has me going into the office few days a week - and just not possible to multi-task like when working from home..
I missed the outage last night, so far the forum seems to be working - so successful update ;) but colors are different that is for sure.. Again not the end of the world or anything - but not a fan of the top menu color nor how the quoted text looks. Its gray text on a gray background - its hard to read.. That for sure was not like that before. So either the previous skin wasn't loading correctly, or this one isn't or they made a change to it, etc. Why would anyone think gray on gray makes any sense for any theme or skin?

@johnpoz it was a short outage, I was teasing.
I see the white/light background for quoted with Slate. Also writing this is dark text/a white background.

Is the site on mobile affected as well? Since i think last week, the layout has changed where i use to get notifications on the left hand side but now its on the right and there are some overall format changes.

@michmoor Yes I was on mobile earlier. Though IIRC the notification in a mobile browser was on the upper right before for me. I haven't tried other themes except for Slate, above, maybe some differ?

It use to have like 1 new post, or 2 new posts as text in the colored box.. when new posts showed up - now its just this..

@johnpoz Oh the new post/thread notification box? Yes I see that. It shows the box but has no content/message. Presumably a bug. I don't recall how that showed on mobile 100% but I think there at the top of the page. There's a "notifications" bell at the top right.
Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.

There's a "notifications" bell at the top right.
Yeah that is still there and shows up with new stuff that following, etc.
But that colored box at the top of recent would show up when there are newer posts in the recent that you are not seeing, etc. Now it just a colored box with no text in it.

On the Slate theme
The quote text is somewhat difficult to read, because it white/dark grey text on light grey background.
Also does the the topic name have larger font that previously? -

Yes. And/or bolder.
@ all, seems the search is missing all the Advanced options such as the ability to search by date? I do that quite a lot looking for a recent thread to show someone. I search for "swap" has 600+ results dating back to 2013. :(

@SteveITS yeah that is completely different - and doesn't seem like you can search by poster either. So date filtering missing, and poster.. Sure hope the back end stuff was good stuff because so far not to impressed with changes ;)

Yeah I used Slate too and it's broken for me in the update in a few signifcant ways. Testing other skins...

is this something that can be looked at on the netgate side? Does the search items for date and poster work in other skins - I hadn't checked on that.. I would think that would be like common across all skins?

@johnpoz I'd expect the skin to not affect a feature but
. More likely an on/off choice for it? Or, https://docs.nodebb.org has almost nothing on it except mentioning search plugins exist so maybe an updated plugin is needed. -
I don't think I've ever used that. Where do you expect it to appear?
