Download Speed Slow

Ive been looking around and haven't seen much with the download speed part but can anyone point me in the right direction? Before I set up my netgate4100 with pfsense I was getting abiout 950 down and 100up and after doing the basic configuration and not installing any packages yet my speed has gone to 350ish down and 100 up? Where do I start checking for the problem?

@MccV12SV23 If it indeed is a “vanilla” new install and no packages, my first thought would be linkspeed autonegotiation. There seems to be a sporadic issues with auto negotiation on the 2.5Gbps ports in the 4100/6100 when connecting to a 1Gbe only port in the other end.
Since you are not using > 1Gbe, my first try would be to change the WAN/LAN interface to the built-in 1Gbe NICs (IX).
That way you quickly will get an answer if this relates to linkspeed negotiation. -
@keyser Thank you and I figured it out. It wasn't set for auto. So I selected auto and then my speed tests all went to 900+ and I could tell my internet was a lot faster.
