      I installed pfSense 2.7.0-RELEASE last night.
      Does the Wireguard 2.02 package for this release run in kernel mode?
      I suspect so but would like confirmation as I haven't been testing betas.

        WireGuard on pfSense has always used the kernel driver (if_wg).

          @cmcdonald I thought the first package implementation was running in userland ring 3.

            @tweek negative. I wrote the package and can confirm it has always been kernel driver.
