Hey there, I'm just testing a setup on one of my systems where each night between 03:15 and 03:30 a scheduled firewall rule opens up port 80 while the ACME cron job is running.

I was wondering if there was a way to open the required ports in a pre-action and close them up again in the post-action.

      Something like:

      • Test if Renewal is needed:
      • If yes open the port
      • renew
      • close port

That way the majority of the time the port stays closed but when it is opened it's for a shorter period of time.

I guess as a workaround I could just build my own corn job script but that seems like perhaps duplicating work or at least reinventing the wheel.
