Unable to access WAP configuration interface

Setup details:
Protectli Vault FW6B running pfsense 2.7.0
Netgear WAX214 wireless access pointI'm having trouble accessing the web page to configure my wireless access point (Netgear WAX214) from a wired connection through my pfsense router. I can access it after resetting it back to factory default settings over a temporary wireless network to configure it (SSIDs, passwords, DHCP client), but attempts to access the config web page using the IP address (obtained from the DHCP log) result in a pfsense login page and not the AP login page. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to correct/remedy this?
Thanks for your insight.

@noob2pfsense clearly missing something here.. Because what your saying just isn't possible in a normal setup.
So pfsense IP is say 192.168.1.1 this is the default of its lan. You then connect a device, your AP and gets a IP from pfsense dhcp server lets call it it 192.168.1.42.. How would you talking to 192.168.1.42 load up the pfsense gui? Just not possible..
So how exactly do you have this setup? Are you trying to run this AP on a vlan? How is that setup? Do you have some port forwarding setup do you have some sort of policy route?
There is just no way that loading some devices IP would load up the pfsense gui.. Unless the IP you were trying to load was a pfsense IP, or you are doing some sort of redirection in pfsense, etc.

Sounds like your AP is in Router mode. You should look into AP mode. And then also check Netgear for their guidance on the configuration if there is no AP Mode available.

Thanks for the feedback. I factory reset the access point (again) which seems to have resolved the issue.
